As we know, at this time, blog is so popular in colleges areas. Both the students or the lecturers have at least a blog. Blog or Weblog is a private site contents articles or notes that can be updated everytime by the owner. We not only can share articles or notes in blog, but we also can share links to another blogs that amazing for people and we can write our comment about a posting in our own blog, or in another blogs by write our identity. Blog contents a main space for article or notes, lists of older postings, spaces for comments, link to another site or blog, etc.
Digital portofolio is a documentary system contents result or product of activities and reflection that can show us changes or developments of personal potential. Power mathematics covering:
- mathematical communication
- mathematical reasoning
- mathematical problem solving
- mathematical connections, and
- possitive attitudes toward mathematics
Using blog, we can develop power mathemstics easier, and our student can update their knowledge anytime and anywhere, not only at school or campus. Lecturers and students can take and give information anytime using blog. Steps for develop power mathematics using blog are:
- installing wordpress multiuser
- making and setting the blog design so that can be accessed by lecturers and students easily.
- composing portofolio
- learning and observing
- processing data and then reporting the result
Digital portofolio using blog is simpler and cheaper, because we don’t need paper. We just should turn on our computer and connect to wifi or using modem. Easy of using blog for developing powermathematics are:
- Availability of computer
- Availability of connection
- Access and face to face blog
By using blog, students and lecturers can access any posting and contents in blog so that developing their power of mathematics. We hope teachers will read this summary and start to using blog as a teaching learning instrument so that the time of teaching learning activities at campus can be used more effectively.
